This is an excellent book if you are looking of heart healthy vegan recipes. The recipes make enough to have for a large group or for several meals. The basic recipes are good, but I do usually add a little of my own seasoning. My husband and I followed recipes from this book for several months, and both lost a few pounds. My blood sugar also improved as well as lipid profile. I have learned a that vegan food can be delicious, and is definitly a good healthy life style. An abundance of food information is covered in the first section of the book as well as many of the healthy lifestyle principles taught and discussed in the session. This is an excellent addition to the Eat More cookbook that comes in the CHIP participants' kit.
I bought this cookbook for new and interesting low fat, healthy recipes. I particularly like the soup section since I've never been real great at seasoning. I feel that these recipes give an added boost to my already large cookbook collection. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to start (and continue) to eat more healthfully.
