I teach NT Greek using Ray Summers' text, and this workbook goes very nicely with it. There are a few errors here and there; in a few places there are questions that are awkwardly worded. These problems are easily overcome with a competent mentor / teacher, but might be confusing if you are learning on your own. Overall, I highly recommend this workbook if you are using Summers' Essentials of NT Greek.
I am a little more than halfway through this grammar and I really enjoy it. I am using for self study, and the local Christian University uses it as their textbook. I would definetly get the workbook, or you won't have anyway of checking yourself on the exercises at the end of each lesson because the answers are in the back of the workbook and the questions/exercises are in this textbook. There are mistakes just like a previous review stated, however it also challenges you by double checking the book!!
I'm studying NT Greek on my own after taking a short Greek grammar course at my church. The workbook follows the Summers text book to a tee. But it also asks you questions beyond what is required in the textbook and gives valuable additional information to the student. As another review commented, there are some mistakes in the exercises. However you can use these few mistakes to sharpen your grammar skills by learning more from them. I think "Essentials of New Testament Greek" should be studied using both the textbook and the Student's guide for a better study discipline.
I don't whether I'm expected to rate the Guide itself (contents, etc.), or the service/condition, etc., but I'm completely satisfied with the condition of the workbook. It arrived in exactly the condition advertised by the one offering it. I'd have put five stars, but that might induce complacency in the one offering the workbook...; we must keep on our toes!
The Books is the Greek Grammer we use in Class, but I prefer the Mounce books more. I wouldn't recommned this book to a self lead Greek student.
If I didn't have this workbook, I'm pretty sure I would be failing Greek right now.
We had Summers' textbook for 1st year Greek and I worked my way through this companion study guide on my own. I found it to be of little value because there are dozens of mistakes! I contacted B&H to let them know and was given the runaround. This book is NOT a good study aid until/unless B&H corrects the errors.
