My 7 year old son has been reading these books for about a year and a half now, and he LOVES them. He's an avid baseball fan, but also has a love for reading in general. These books are fun and engaging, and he always complains that the chapters end with a "mystery" that makes you want to keep reading!For those not familiar with the Ballpark Mysteries series, the books follow cousins Mike & Kate as they travel around the country visiting baseball stadiums (usually with Kate's mom, who is a sports reporter for a website, but sometimes with Kate's dad, who is a baseball scout I believe). Along the way, Mike and Kate inevitably encounter a mystery involving the stadium or one of the baseball players. Mike and Kate are great at solving mysteries, so they always figure things out by the end of the book. These books are great for both boys and girls, since the main characters are a boy and a girl.Throughout each book, the reader learns facts about each stadium, and there is also a fun facts page at the end of eachbook as well. My son has collected all of the books in the series, and is eagerly anticipating the release of the newest one, the Cardinal Caper!If your child likes these books, I would also highly recommend the Little Rhino series. SF Splash was a gift for my nephew. He, me and his parents all enjoyed the story. Since they live in SF and are Giants fans, it was a big hit. A nice way to introduce some baseball facts and history to Lucca (my nephew). I will buy more books for him in this series.

My son loves the Ballpark Mysteries series, but he keeps asking when the author is going to come up with one for the Angels...
I found this series on Amazon for my grandson . He loved them and even used them for book reports at school. Now I order two or three for birthdays or when he came to visit last month. We will continue to order the series. He LOVES them.
Fun baseball mystery book. I bought this for a 7 year old Giants fan. He really enjoys this series.
