Our grandson loves these "How do Dinosaurs" books. you can see him considering as he realizes the dinosaur is doing some of the same things he does. the images of the beasts are so very dear - just look at the under chin crimped skin... We are slowly getting more and more of these as they so aptly address many of the behavior issues parents encounter. we know these unique books are helping him to see how uncooperative behavior looks to others. Wonderful!
My review is really for all of the "How Do Dinosaurs" books and not just this one. I first saw these books when I was teaching pre-k. They were a class favorite and the kids wanted to read them over and over. My two year old daughter loves dinosaurs and is obsessed with these books, so we ordered several of them. These are good books with good illustrations.
I purchased for my 2 year old nephews birthday. It was his first choice for nap time that day. Love these books, big colorful pictures & perfect for children 2-3 years or age.
Got this for my dinosaur loving one year old. He's too young to absorb the message but I can see it being helpful in the future! The illustrations are cute and engaging and the message is so great. We plan to purchase all the books in the series.
This book, and the other books in the series, are always loved by kids. The artwork is great, and kids think it is SO funny that the kids (dinosaurs) are bigger than the parents. They love getting the joke.
I bought this book for my Grandson to go with the LED Light Up and Walking Realistic Dinosaur.. He was fighting going to sleep.He loves the book and now sleeps with the Dinosaur!!
Sent it to a little 2-1/2 year old boy in London for a Christmas gift with his Grandmother from the USA. She said he loved it and had her read it to him many times.
Found this at the library with our 1 1/2 year old granddaughter and it became a favorite right away. Jane Yolen is such a reliable wordsmith for kids. I purchased it for my daughter when she mentioned bedtime had become an issue, as this humorously teaches the lesson of how to settle in for the night in a calm manner. A great addition to any toddler's bookshelf.
Found this book originally at our doctors office and had to buy it. It is super cute and having 2 little boys of course they love dinosaurs. Who doesn't want a story that helps their kids understand expectations of bedtime?!
