Although I own several LP travel guides, this “pocket†guide was disappointing. The graphics and print size were not user friendly and the content was limited, The map was not readable.I returned this item.

I love Lonely Planet Pockets - I wish they have more cities and areas
The tear-out map was the most consistently useful thing for me. The book isn't exactly chock-a-block with information. Lots of pictures and colorful graphic design, but I would have appreciated more detail. There is a day-by-day planner which you probably won't follow. If you have another guide to Ireland, just rip out the Dublin pages and take them with you. You can get a map at the Tourist Offices.
This 160-page book - the 4th (print) edition of February 2018 - is an interesting and readable guide to the capital city of the Republic of Ireland.This is a well-designed and presented guide, with useful maps. It is a pocket-sized guide, being approximately 6†by 4 ¼â€, with a fold-out map inside the back cover. It has a much more concentrated layout than the full-size Lonely Planet volumes, and concentrates on the city itself. I absolutely LOVE all of the useful information (including opening and closing times and travel tips). However, I was disappointed that the pull out map of the city covered a very small area of Dublin. It doesn't even show the Phoenix Park area or the waterfront. It is so light and informative, but we would have loved a map that included more of the city.
