My sister-in-law told me it was the best gift she ever got. Wow!
This is the first and only book to completely address the beautiful Burmese glass made by the Fenton Art Glass Company. Burmese was an early heat sensitive glass that earned it's name from Queen Victoria when she described the yellow glass with a slamon blush as being a sunset in Burma. All the pieces are listed by year produced and then whether they were regular in line items, special order, gift shop exclusive, QVC. Each piece is pictured with a caption that gives the Fenton code, year produced, sizes, and value. Background info is given along with family members, artists, decorators andother employees. It is a fact filled book that would be a terrific reference book for your collection.
Burmese has been, and continues to be, the most popular of Fenton's creations. This book provides ample history behind the different types of Burmese, and the illustrations are beautiful. It's hard to capture in a photo the lovely blends of color, but if you collect, or are thinking of collecting, the Fenton Burmese art glass, this book is a good reference.

Glad I bought this book. I almost didn't get this one after purchasing the 80's & 90's decade books, but since most of the Fenton we inherited was Burmese, I'm really glad I added this book to my purchase.
